YOUR PRIVACY
Reluctant PressTM is a transgender owned and operated company, and as such we are very sensitive to your concerns about personal privacy.
  1. Our web counter service collects basic data about date and times of connections, the browser(s) used, and the pages viewed. This "hit counter" system does NOT collect personal information, or any information that would allow us or anyone else to specifically identify you. The sole purpose of this information is to help us determine how we should present our material and whether or not anything needs to be fixed. None of this information is retained or otherwise archived.
  2. When you place an order over our secure server, you will be asked to provide specific truthful information regarding your credit card name and billing address. This information is kept strictly confidential and is used only in case of credit card fraud.
  3. Once an order has been placed, Ms. Janet will personally process your order by entering it into our secure (not net connected) computer. This information is retained for bookkeeping reasons and is accessible only by Ms. Janet and Ms. Chrissie.
  4. In general, we've been assured that the SSL is a good security method for transmitting sensitive data. This is the method that all reputable online merchants use. Nevertheless, you should be informed about Internet security and you should understand that you use our service - as well as the service of other online merchants - at your own risk.
COPYRIGHT WARNING:
This is very important: All books, the stories contained therein, descriptions, images, passwords, and files on this site are protected by US and International copyright law, and are owned exclusively by Mags, Inc, DBA Reluctant PressTM, which retains exclusive rights to publish these materials. Under federal copyright law, the civil penalties for copyright infringement can be severe, including substantial monetary damages, injunctive relief, and liability for attorneys' fees incurred in prosecuting a case. If a court determines that the infringement was committed willfully, statutory damages of up to $100,000 for each copyright infringed can be awarded. Even if not found to be acting willfully, a defendant can still be held liable for statutory damages of $500 to $20,000 for each copyright infringed. It is important to remember that these penalties apply even if money was not charged. In addition, criminal penalties may be imposed if someone willfully infringes a copyrighted work for commercial advantage or private financial gain. This crime is punishable by up to five years imprisonment, up to $250,000 in fines, or both. State civil damages and criminal penalties vary from state to state and country to country, but are always severe.

In order to keep fiction available on the Internet, Reluctant Press must pursue copyright violators. We don't enjoy doing this, but for the sake of the authors, illustrators - and to stay in business - we have no choice.

The best way to keep this service available is to do YOUR part to protect the author's and publisher's copyright. You can be part of the solution. You make the continued availability of TG fiction on the Internet possible. Thank you! If you find anyone posting our passwords or stories to any web site or newsgroup, please report them immediately:
